| Alessandra earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts at Marymount Manhattan College, a Master's Degree from Hunter College, and completed post-graduate work at New York University. | |
While at NYU, she also taught in the graduate division. Before her appointment at Palm Beach State College, Alessandra taught at Long Island University and at La Guardia School of Music and Art in New York City. The recipient of many honors, Alessandra won the Herman Gimbel First Prize at the Boca Raton Museum of Art, The Mary Hulitar Award at the 46th Annual Exhibition of Contemporary American Painting at the Society of the Four Arts in Palm Beach and is fellow of the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown, Massachusetts. She also was the recipient of Art in the Public Places, sponsored by The John D. & Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation, the WXEL First Prize Graphics Award, and has had two solo Exhibitions at the Ann Norton Sculpture Gardens in West Palm Beach, Florida. Locally, showplaces for Alessandra's work include Barnett Bank, Miami's Museum Tower, Wellington Regional Medical Center, La Roche Pharmaceutical, and Radisson Suites Hotel and several Palm Beach private collections. |
